Strasburg pitched very well tonight, getting a win and going to 4-o on the season as the Nats defeated the Cardinals 5-4. Taylor, Rendon, Zimmerman, Murphy and Espinosa each homering. Espinosa’s homer was especially sweet, as it brought two men home. The only blemish on the game was Blake Treinen giving up a two run blast in the 7th, which made it one run game. Fortunately Papelbon was on his game as our closer tonight, saving the game despite walking the leadoff man. This was a game we really needed to win after a three game sweep by the Phillies and with Mets decimating the Giants 12-1. Now we maintain our division lead. Hopefully Joe Ross will be on his game tomorrow and we can win this series.
